One of Hewlett-Packard’s web page could display a tablet computer products, named HP Slate 500. These tools made possible the first tablet HP products will be released to the market in cooperation with Microsoft.
On the page mentioned, Slate HP 500 using 8.9-inch touch screen and use the operating system Microsoft Windows 7 Premium. This device also has two cameras, one for recording images and one for web conferencing. Slate HP 500 also comes with a stylus. This product has been listed on HP’s official website as the product qualified as Energy Star by using the 1.6 GHz processor.
That page has now disappeared. However, HP has ensured that the tablets or Slate devices based on Windows 7 still to be released for enterprise-class. It is said Todd Bradley, vice president of HP’s Execytive, in a conference in Colorado, U.S., last week.
For the consumer class, HP will use the artificial Palm acquired WebOS worth 1.2 billion U.S. dollars. According to the U.S. patent office documents, HP has registered the brand PalmPad for handheld computers, cell phones, PDAs, electronic notepads, digital electronics and mobile devices.
Currently no information on whether HP will use the brand name for the device PalmPad homemade tablet or smartphone. New HP will ensure that for the tablet using the Microsoft platform in the enterprise-class and consumer class WebOS. However, for smartphones, HP will only use the WebOS and will not use the Windows Phone 7.
